In preparation for the Monaco Grand Prix, Rob and Romesh join Team Mercedes to discover if they have what it takes to be a member of the pit crew. Spoiler alert, they don’t.
Team Mercedes Principal and CEO, Toto Wolff, meets with the pair to offer his expertise before they’re put to work.
Later they sit down for a chat with the greatest driver of all time – Lewis Hamilton – to see if he has any advice on the roles they’d be best suited to in the world of Formula One. Rom also gets to work teaching Rob how to drive a manual car.
Who is Lewis Hamilton?
Lewis Hamilton is a British Formula One racing driver who currently races for Team Mercedes. He holds the record for career race victories and holds the joint-record for the most drivers’ championships – tied with Michael Schumacher.
Who is Toto Wolff?
Toto Wolff is the Team Principal and CEO of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. He joined Team Mercedes in January 2013 and under his leadership, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has secured eight Formula 1 Constructors’ Championships from 2014 – 2021 and seven Drivers’ Championships.
Episode 2: Rob & Romesh Vs F1 Monaco Part 2
The pair continue their F1 escapades with Rob’s manual driving lessons continuing with devastating (and expensive) results. Turns out Monaco is probably not the place to learn how to reverse park.
Later the pair meet with F1 star George Russell to update him on their adventures thus far and see if he has any top tips for Rob ahead of his manual driving test.
And finally, it’s time for Rob to put his skills to the test and sit his driving exam.
Who is George Russell?
George Russell is a British racing driver who currently races as part of Team Mercedes. Prior to this he raced for Williams from 2019 to 2021.
