Presenter Simon Reeve travels to the Caribbean to explore its beautiful landscapes and to reveal the truth behind the extreme activities taking place on the islands. Reeve visits the island of Hispaniola and stops at the Dominican Republic, a popular tourist destination but also home to international drug cartels. Across the border he finds Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere that is still recovering from the devastating earthquake of 2010. There Reeve discovers Haiti's unique history, which includes voodoo ceremonies and dolphin watching.

Episode 1Dominican Republic, Haiti and Puerto Rico

Simon begins his journey on the island of Hispaniola and its two very different countries of the Dominican Republic - a tourist hotspot - and its poorer neighbour Haiti.

Episode 2Barbados, Venezuela and Colombia

The second leg of Simon Reeve's journey around the Caribbean Sea takes him from the beautiful island of Barbados to St Vincent and the Grenadines, Venezuela and Colombia.

Episode 3Nicaragua, Honduras and Jamaica

Simon's last leg begins on the remote Caribbean coast of Nicaragua before he encounters extreme violence on the mainland of Honduras and finishes his adventure on Jamaica.
