Rob & Romesh Vs. follows leading comedians and everyone’s favourite funnymen, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, as they travel around the world meeting the greatest athletes on the planet and biggest stars in music and entertainment. Throughout the series they immerse themselves in their world’s, taking part in a serious of challenges – testing their skills and friendship.

Episode 1: Rob & Romesh Vs Usain Bolt

Rob & Rom take to the skies and head to Jamaica to meet Olympic athlete and world record holder for the 100m sprint Usain Bolt. The pair quickly embrace the local culture and island life, enjoying some water sports and cocktails on the beach. Before meeting the main man himself, the pair head to Usain Bolt’s former training camp where they get put through their paces under the scorching sun. The pair attempt a 100m sprint (if we’re being honest, it’s more of a jog) which they finish in 27 seconds – more than double Bolt’s record-setting time.

The pair then head to the stadium where Bolt received his junior gold medal to watch some athletics. The following day it’s time for Rob & Rom to immerse themselves in the local culture, which can only mean one thing…dancing. The pair are soon put on stage – in front of hundreds – to dance with professionals. Needless to say, neither of them were particularly successful but it does make for great TV!

Finally, Rob & Rom set off to meet Usain Bolt for a sit-down interview where they ask him all the questions we want answered. From discovering what the best thing about being Usain Bolt is to the one person who made him starstruck, it was the kind of interview. The pair even try to persuade him to come out of retirement for the Tokyo Olympics – a feat which they fail at!

Who is Usain Bolt?


Usain Bolt is a retired Jamaican sprinter who currently holds the world record in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay. He is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics. He is also the most successful male athlete of the World Championships. All of these achievements have earned him the nickname of “Lightning Bolt”.

Episode 2: Rob & Romesh Vs The NFL

In this episode, Rob & Rom gain exclusive access to Superbowl Champions -The Philadelphia Eagles – to see if the NFL can make it big in the UK. The pair head to Philadelphia, where they join the team during their pre-season training camp before getting kitted up themselves. Rob & Rom are soon put through some vigorous training, including drill practice and tackling challenges.

The duo then sit down with fellow Brit and Philadelphia Eagles player, Jay Ajayi, to find out more about NFL and ask him some hard-hitting questions. Jay manages to wrangle Rob & Rom a ticket to an upcoming match Philadelphia Eagles match, with pair getting stuck into the NFL tradition of tailgating.

Later, Rob & Rom are back in London and heading to Wembley Stadium to watch the Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. After losing in training, Rob has arranged for a half-time rematch where they both get three chances to catch the ball with whoever catches the most winning.

Who is Jay Ajayi?


Jay Ajayi is a former professional American football player who played in the NFL. He spent five seasons with the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles, and even won a Super Bowl title in the 2017 season. In Rob & Romesh Vs The NFL, Jay coaches the duo through training drills before sitting down with them both to discuss the ins and outs of the sport.

Episode 3: Rob & Romesh Vs Fashion

Pivoting from sport, this episode sees Rob & Rom learning about the fashion industry and getting some top tips from male model, David Gandy. After sitting down with Gandy and asking him all the important-ish questions, Rob & Rom are sent to top fashion photographer Nicky Johnston where they put their modelling skills to the test with a shoot – ending with some underwear shots. The result? A rather shocking recreation of David Gandy’s light blue shoot, where Rob & Rom end up intertwined with each other.

Armed with photos for their portfolios, they’re off to New York where Nicky has got them the gig of a lifetime - walking in a show at New York Fashion Week. But before they go, they head to London Fashion Week in search for some inspiration and enlist the help of fashion guru Gok Wan, to style them so they’re show ready.

After all that prep, they head to New York to walk in the runway show. But there’s still time for one last surprise. David texts the boys to meet at Times Square, where they’re surprised and shocked to see photos from their underwear shoot up on the screens for the whole of New York to see. Being on a billboard in Times Square is a dream for many but it’s safe to say for the duo, this was a nightmare they couldn’t wait to wake up from!

Who is David Gandy?


David is an English male fashion model who is best-known for being the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrance. This campaign made him one of the most in-demand models and resulted in a portfolio of magazine covers, photo shoots and awards.

In episode 3 of Rob & Romesh Vs, David chats to the duo about his background in the modelling industry and gives them a few tricks of the trade.

Who is Nicky Johnston?


Nicky Johnston is one of the UK’s top celebrity photographers, with his images being featured in several leading publications. In this episode of Rob & Romesh, Nicky is enlisted to help Rob and Rom build their modelling portfolio with the result being an intimate shoot of the pair together.

Who is Gok Wan?


Gok Wan is a fashion stylist and award-winning TV presenter. He spent many years working as a stylist to celebrities and became a household name through his countless TV appearances as an “on-screen” fashion consultant. In this episode Rob & Rom go through their personal wardrobe with Gok, so that he can help them both create an outfit to wear to a London Fashion Week show.

Episode 4: Rob & Romesh Vs Superstar DJs

They’ve done sport and fashion, now it’s time for Rob & Rom to immerse themselves in the world of entertainment by trying to master the art of being a superstar DJ. They kick things off by meeting Jonas Blue at his home but before they’ve even stepped foot inside, he sends them off on a night out in Wembley. There they meet DJ superstar, Andy C, who is finalising his performance ahead of his 5-hour set. Next stop is London Bridge to meet the second case study, Chase & Status. By this point Romesh is exhausted and ready to head home, with Rob heading back into the venue having awoken his inner raver.

The next morning the duo – looking rather groggy – head back to meet with Jonas Blue. After a quick house tour, they head down to the studio where Rob & Rom get a masterclass on how to DJ before putting their skills (or lack of) to the test.

With differing approaches on how to prepare for their DJ debut, Rob heads off in the search for the perfect outfit whilst Rom books in for a 1-1 DJ crash course. And before long, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for…Rob & Rom’s turn to take to the stage, in front of a crowd, to give it their all as a DJ. Safe to say the pair will be sticking to comedy!

Who is Jonas Blue?


Guy James Robin aka Jonas Blue is an English DJ and producer. He is well known for his dance productions and his debut single, a house cover of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car, peaked at no2 on the UK charts propelling him to stardom.

On Rob & Romesh Vs Superstar DJs, Jonas Blue gives the duo a crash course in DJing and how to mix tracks before the pair head off to perform their own sets.

Who is Andy C?


Andy C is a DJ and record producer, who creates drum and bass tracks. He is regularly featured in Top 100 DJs lists and is considered a pioneering figure in the DnB genre.

Who are Chase & Status?


Chase & Status are a British electronic music duo and are considered one of the most successful British DJ groups.

Episode 5: Rob & Romesh Vs Country Music

There are more laughs as Rob & Rom tackle their next challenge…Country Music. Before they head off to Nashville, the home of country music, the pair meet with music icon Shania Twain to get some top tips on what it takes to be a music superstar. She sets the pair a task of writing and recording their own country music song.

As every musician knows, the first thing you need to tackle before you even contemplate creating a song is to live the stereotype…by going on a camping trip. Having sorted outfits for them both, Rob arranges for a horseback ride to their campsite where they spend the night.

With just a day to go until their performance, the duo head to a recording studio to write their country music song. After warming up their vocals, Rob & Rom get down to business and with the help of Tyler and Meghan manage to get some lyrics and a tune down. Later that evening, it’s time for the big performance and Rob & Rom take to the stage to perform to a Nashville crowd.

Who is Shania Twain?


Shania Twain is a Canadian singer-songwriter who is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Her mix of country melodies and pop vocals made her an extremely successful artist in the 90s and her second album, released in 1995, won a Grammy Award for country album of the year.

In Rob & Romesh Vs Country Music, Shania challenges the pair to write and perform their very own country song – even giving the boys a few tips to help them along the way!

Who are Tyler and Meghan?


Meghan Linsey is a country singer and former The Voice USA contestant. Her husband, Tyler Cain, is a Nashville based producer who has worked on several Grammy nominated albums.

In episode 5 of Rom & Romesh Vs., Meghan and Tyler are tasked with helping Rob & Rom write their country song.

Episode 6: Rob & Romesh Vs Anthony Joshua: Revisited

In the final episodes, Rob & Rom meet with Anthony Joshua whilst he’s on his quest to win every belt in his division and become the first undisputed British heavyweight since Lennox Lewis. First up they head to the Joshua vs Parker fight, where they watch AJ in action.

The boys arrange to meet with Tony Bellew, fellow boxer and close friend of AJ. Together they watch back the AJ vs Klitschko fight, with Bellew giving them analysis throughout and even showing them what it feels like to take a punch. Spoiler alert, it involves them doing forward rolls outside!

And finally, Rob & Rom head off to meet Anthony Joshua fresh off the back of his fight with Parker. They ask him all the hard-hitting questions, like why he didn’t reply to Rob’s texts...

Who is Anthony Joshua?


Anthony Joshua is a British professional boxer. He was world heavyweight champion from 2016 to 2019 and has won a gold medal at the Olympics. Undeniably, AJ is one of the biggest names in boxing. During the episode, Rob & Rom follow AJ on his journey to win every belt in his division.

Who is Tony Bellew?


Tony Bellew is a former professional boxer, who held the WBC cruiserweight world title and had a well-known rivalry with David Haye.

When did Rob & Rom first meet with Anthony Joshua?


Back in 2017, the comedy duo met with Anthony Joshua for a Sky TV special titled Anthony Joshua vs Rob & Romesh. In the documentary, Rob tries to convince Romesh to become a boxing fan – with Romesh walking away as AJ’s favourite despite having no interest in the sport before this.
