Everything you need to know about Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper – a young go-getting social media executive who moves from Chicago to the French capital after getting a job opportunity at a French marketing fashion firm.

But Emily discovers quickly she is out of her depth with little knowledge of the language, and a team of co-workers who aren’t happy she’s been sent over.

With tough-talking businesswoman Sylvie keeping a close eye on her, Emily gets to work putting her quirky stamp on the business, and Paris.

Building her own social media presence as ‘Emily in Paris’, the quirky American also finds herself learning the ins-and-outs of romance with a string of handsome suitors.

Most prominently is restaurateur and neighbour, Gabriel, who is working on his dream of getting his own Michelin-starred restaurant. The only problem is Camille, Gabriel’s on/off girlfriend who is one of the first to befriend Emily as she navigates the city.

Then we have dapper English executive Alfie, and hunky Italian fashion-label heir Marcello to complicate things a little further.

Thankfully, she has her best friend - aspiring singer Mindy Chen - on hand for advice on how to navigate the City of Love.

As Emily’s adventures see her exploring the French Alps, Rome and Venice, she soon discovers her career and romantic aspirations heading in a different direction to what she was expecting.

First launching in 2020, Emily in Paris became a ‘guilty pleasure’ favourite among Netflix viewers.

The series is set to end with its upcoming sixth and final season in 2026.
