Everything you need to know about Emily in Paris
Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper – a young go-getting social media executive who moves from Chicago to the French capital after getting an unmissable job opportunity.
Tasked with improving the social media presence of French marketing fashion firm, Savoir, Emily discovers quickly she is out of her depth with little knowledge of the language, and a team of co-workers who aren’t happy she’s been sent over.
Building her own social media presence as ‘Emily in Paris’, the quirky American also finds herself learning the ins-and-outs of romance with a string of handsome suitors.
Most prominently is hunky restaurateur, Gabriel, and dapper English executive Alfie, who pull her heart in two different directions.
To complicate matters further she also becomes close to Camille, Gabriel’s on/off girlfriend.
Thankfully, she has her best friend - aspiring singer Mindy - on hand for advice on how to navigate the City of Love.

It’s now in its fourth season, with Part One (episodes 1-4) being released on August 15, and Part Two (episodes 5-10) following on September 12.

At the time of writing (August 2024), season five of Emily in Paris has not been confirmed—at least, not officially.
During an auction for amfAR at Cannes Film Festival 2024, one of the lots was initially listed as a “walk-on role for Emily in Paris season five,” noting “the winning bidder will have the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming sometime after April 2025.”
They would have also won an invitation to the Los Angeles premiere for season four as part of the win.
However, Netflix is yet to officially announce that season five was happening, with the listing later changed to the walk-on role “being contingent on the season being picked up.”
So while it looks likely, Netflix is yet to confirm the go-ahead.
